Help us create a snapshot of citizen activism in New York City today! The Museum of the City of New York is collecting a day-by-day visual history of the many ways that New Yorkers are involved in our city, its communities, and the larger world, whether through volunteering, organizing, lobbying, petitioning, protesting, making art, or otherwise taking action or speaking out.
Submit your images taken anywhere in the five boroughs of New York City during the last 30 days. Up to six images per photographer per event will be considered. Any kind of social activism is welcome, but please do not submit images related to campaigning for particular candidates or that use hate speech or obscenity. Please include the date and location of each photograph and a description, and see our terms of use for more details.
You can also submit images via email to activistnewyork@mcny.org.
Selected images will be projected in the exhibition Activist New York, on view in the Puffin Foundation Gallery.
